PML-Q President Chaudhry Shujat Hussain had a telephonic conversation with JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Saturday during which Shujat discussed with the JUI-F leader the political condition prevailing in the country.
Shujat said “The country is going through a crisis, and it is incumbent upon all of us to contribute our constructive part during these critical times.”
Shujat also told Maulana that he is the son of a great father “who had the honour of participating in the movements that were aimed at strengthening the state.”
Shujat, who is known for his mediatory demeanour for which he is usually tasked with such neutralizing roles, tried to pacify the Maulana, who is all set to launch anti-government protests.
Speaking to the Maulana, Shujat said “It is not the ideal time to open new fronts as the county is already in crisis,” adding that he will have a thorough discussion with the Maulana in person when he will be in Islamabad.
