Prime Minister Imran Khan and Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa had a meeting on Monday at PM House Islamabad.
According to 24NewsHD TV channel, matters of national as well as regional security came under discussion
The premier also presided over the Apex Committee on National Action Plan meeting. The COAS, ministers, and senior officials attended the meeting.
PM Imran Khan has said the government has zero-tolerance for terrorists and swift persecution of terrorists is a must to set an example out of terrorist elements.

Earlier, presiding over a meeting of the Apex Committee on National Action Plan, he stressed the need for a multi-pronged approach, full-spectrum, and vigorous implementation of NAP to thwart terror bids.
Imran Khan said terrorists bid to sabotage peace and such nefarious designs to destabilize the country would never succeed as the entire nation is united. He said the people that some elements are trying to create disharmony on the basis of sectarianism and hate speech, but the State will never allow such designs to succeed.
The Apex Committee strongly condemned the Peshawar attack. It was also highlighted that provinces need to allocate more resources for conducting effective investigations by adopting scientific techniques and setting up modern forensic labs.
