Lahore Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Ghulam Mehmood Dogar Monday refused to obey the orders of the Establishment Division, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The CCPO also decided to challenge his suspension orders issued by the Establishment Division on Saturday last.
It is to be noted here that the CCPO has not left his post despite his suspension orders by the Establishment Division.
He has also decided to go to the court against the federal government’s decision of suspending him.
The rifts between the federal and Punjab governments have begun to plague the police department.
The legal experts say that it is illegal for the CCPO to remain in the office despite being suspended.
It also merits a mention here that the CCPO had been removed from the office by the federal government, but the Punjab government stopped him from reporting to the Establishment Division.
The CCPO had been sent three notices by the Establishment Division to leave the post immediately, but he did not respond to even a single notice.
The CCPO has also started consultation with legal experts.
