Punjab Information Minister Azma Bukhari said on Monday that while on the one hand, the provincial government had introduced projects for people’s welfare, the situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) was entirely different as the government of the province was bent upon disturbing the country’s peace, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Addressing a press conference in Lahore, Azma said the KP government had been spending the province’s resources on confrontation with the Center for the last 12 years. “While we in Punjab have introduced ‘Himmat Cards’ for the special people, KP CM Ali Amin Gandapur and members of his cabinet are threatening the Center with a revolution.”
The question was, she went on to say, whether the only purpose of the lives of the people of KP was to participate in rallies and public gatherings.
The minister said Gandapur had not been kidnapped or arrested but had disappeared himself.
She accused the PTI’s Shandana Gulzar of conspiring against Pakistan.
Azma said the police had arrested 120 Afghan nationals who were accompanying the PTI protestors marching towards Islamabad.
