Foreign Office issues details of foreign aid recieved for flood victims

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs Wednesday disclosed that seven countries and three international organizations had sent relief cargo planes for the flood survivors so far, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.

According to the spokesperson of the Foreign Office, 49 cargo planes from friendly countries and international organizations have reached Pakistan with aid. Of which, 19 planes from the United Arab Emirates loaded with aid goods have arrived in Rawalpindi, Karachi, and Lahore while Turkey has sent 11 planes to help Pakistan flood victims and 4 planes from China, one each from Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, France, and three cargo planes from Qatar arrived in Pakistan with aid.

Foreign Office Spokesman further revealed that UNICEF has sent 2, United Nations Organization for Refugees sent 5 and World Food Organization sent two cargo planes loaded with basic necessities of life for the flood victims.
