The twenty-two million standard cubic feet per day (mmscfd) gas reserves have been discovered in Kohat district of Pakhtunkhwa (KP), reported 24NewsHD TV Channel Wednesday.

Gas reserves were discovered by the Tal joint venture at Tolanj’s West-2 development in in Kohat.

These reserves were discovered in just 89 days after excavating 4 thousand 150 meters.

Only 200 meters of pipeline from the gas-well will have to be erected for connecting the main supply line.

The discovery of gas reserves will help the country save 60 million dollars annually.

Additional gas supply will be added to the national system very soon.

This discovery will contribute to improving the energy security of the country from indigenous resources and add to the hydrocarbon reserves base of MOL.
