Lahore sessions court moved against interim bails to post office employees

A sessions court in Lahore was moved for the cancellation of interim bails granted to the accused booked for withdrawing Rs0.9 million from the locker of Central Post Office at PMG Chowk, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The affected woman, Saira Bano, had approached the sessions court for the cancellation of interim bail granted to the post office employees, namely Khalid Maqsood and Shakeel.

Gohar Khan Advocate produced power of attorney in the court of Additional Sessions Judge Saima Riasat. A departmental inquiry report was also produced in the court.

During the inquiry, it was revealed that the accused—Khalid Maqsood and Shakeel—took away the money through a duplicate copy.

Additional Sessions Judge Saima Riasat sought an inquiry report from the Islampura police and adjourned further hearing of the case till May 3 next.
