KP lady doctor loses battle against coronavirus

A lady doctor belonging to Peshawar died on Tuesday of coronavirus at a private hospital in Islamabad, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Dr Alia Sarfraz was under treatment for Covid-19 at Kalsoom International Hospital in Islamabad. Her death took the number of doctors who died of coronavirus in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to 27, said the Provincial Doctors Association.
According to the Association, Dr Alia Sarfraz was the head of Gynae Department at the DHQ Hospital in Haripur.
Also on Tuesday, Pakistan reported its highest daily death count in recent months as 89 people died of the coronavirus during the past 24 hours, raising the toll in the country to 8,487, reported National Command and Operation Centre.
Most of these deaths were recorded in Punjab and Sindh where 41 coronavirus patients each lost their lives. It was followed by six in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and one in Azad Kashmir.
