Senior legal expert and Barrister Aitzaz Ahsan has said that the murder case of journalist Arshad Sharif has been debilitated as the police became complainant of the FIR, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Thursday.

While taking to journalists outside the Lahore High Court (LHC), Barrister Aitzaz said that the killing of journalist Arshad Sharif was a contract job and Kenya police were involved in it.

He further said that brutal torture on the body of Arshad shows that the killer was badly enraged at him. He also said that there are not so many complications in the case, adding that the case could be solved within eight days if Arshad’s mobile phone and laptop were traced.

While criticizing Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Rana Sanaullah, he said that Rana Sanaullah should clarify on whom behest 18 FIRs were lodged against Arshad Sharif.

He said that it has become a trend to file multiple cases against one who hurt sentiments, adding that same happened to Jang group owner Mir Shakil and now the same is happening with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Azam Swati. He also said that Tasneem Haider’s statement against former prime minister Nawaz Sharif is horrible and dangerous.
