Tribunal adjourns Imran Khan’s appeal against nomination papers’ rejection

The Election Appellate Tribunal of Lahore High Court Monday did not initiate the hearing on the appeal of former prime minister Imran Khan against the rejection of his nomination papers, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.
The former Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had filed an appeal contesting the dismissal of his nomination papers from Lahore's Constituency NA-122.
The judge of the appellate tribunal Justice Ahmad Nadeem Arshad decided to adjourn the appeal till tomorrow without conducting a hearing.
In a parallel development, the appeal of Dr. Yasmeen Rashid, whose nomination papers were also rejected by the returning officer, faced a similar fate.
The tribunal decided not to proceed with the hearing on Dr. Yasmeen Rashid's appeal against the rejection of her candidacy without taking any action.
Hearing on her appeal has also been put off till Monday.
