Preparations are underway for the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf’s (PTI) public gathering to be held in Khushab today in connection with the by-election to be held in one of the constituencies of the city on July 17, 2022, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

Former prime minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan will address the rally.

As many as 400 personnel will perform security duties in and around New Lorri Adda, the venue of the event.

A 20-40 feet high stage is also being set up for the purpose.

Imran is on a tour to different Punjab cities ahead of the by-polls to be held on 20 Punjab Assembly (PA) seats which had fallen vacant after the de-seating of PTI MPAs by the Election Commission of Pakistan in the light of the Supreme Court’s interpretation of article 63-A of the constitution.

These MPAs had voted for Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) Hamza Shehbaz in the election for the seat of Punjab chief minister despite the party’s instructions to the contrary.
