Anwar Maqsood joins twitter, receives warm welcome

A career spanning over a few decades, Anwar Maqsood is one of Pakistan’s brightest source of pride for literary aficionados, be it scriptwriting, satire, poetry, political comedy or songwriting.

Anwar Maqsood has joined twitter and received a warm welcome by his fans in Pakistan and across the border.

Sharing a video clip in his first-ever tweet, Anwar Maqsood said “This is my official account. I request you to report all other accounts that are impersonating me. Thank you.”

Fans warmly welcomed Anwar Maqsood on social media and within a short time he was followed by over 18,000 followers.

Earlier, the eminent writer said that he has nothing to do with the social media account that’s being run in his name from where statements and sentences against the PTI and on some important subjects are posted on a regular basis.

He requested the public not to believe whatever is being uploaded on social media attributed to him as comments on sensitive subjects.
