ECC okays Rs 28b tehcnical supplementary grants for various ministries

The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Federal Cabinet Wednesday okayed a supplementary grant of 27.88 billion in favor of different ministries and divisions, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.
Finance Minister Ishaq Dar chaired the meeting of the ECC in Islamabad on Wednesday that granted approval to nine technical supplementary grants (TSGs).
According to the sources, the committee approved Rs. 14.80 billion in favor of the Ministry of Housing and works for development schemes.
An amount of Rs 1 billion has also been okayed in favor of the Ministry of Housing and Works for development schemes in Punjab.
The meeting also approved Rs. 1.209 billion for the Ministry of Housing and Works for the execution of 15 development schemes in FY23.
An amount of Rs. 5 billion was approved for the Cabinet Division for Sustainable Development Goals Achievement Programme (SAP) during FY23.
The ECC approved Rs. 1.773 billion for the Ministry of Energy (Power for the execution of development schemes of Punjab and KP under PSDP during FY23.
An amount of Rs. 3.96 billion was agreed upon for the Ministry of Federal Education & Professional Training.
The committee also approved Rs. 130 million for the Ministry of Narcotics Control.
Federal Minister for Commerce Naveed Qamar, Minister Khuram Dastagir, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Minister Dr. Aisha Ghous Pasha, Minister Musadik Malik, and other senior officers attended the meeting.
