Two kids die as fire destroys children ward in Sahiwal hospital

Two kids lost their lives after a massive fire erupted in a hospital in Sahiwal on Saturday morning, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to the Sahiwal Teaching Hospital Medical Superintendent, the children’s death was caused by lack of oxygen. The condition of two other children was also very critical, he added.
Fire-fighters said the blaze was caused by a short-circuit in the Children’s Ward in the hospital.
The hospital staff were able to shift the children from the burning war. Some parents took their children to their homes but the fire incident caused oxygen dearth for kids. Two of them died later.
Five vehicles of the fire brigade department took part in the operation to extinguish the blaze.
Police arrest three dacoits in Pattoki
On the other hand, police in Pattoki arrested three members of a gang of dacoits besides recovering over Rs500,000, two motorcycles and weapons from them which they had snatched from the people.
Police said those arrested were Muneer, Asif and Rizwan, and were involved in several incidents of dacoity and robbery.
The Force said the suspects were being interrogated.
