CIA arrests most-wanted shooters from Lahore

Police nab TikToker for displaying arms on social media

The Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) has arrested two most wanted shooters from the Iqbal Town area of Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday. 

The DSP CIA said that more than 16 cases were registered against Talha, a resident of Tipu Sultan Road in Samanabad area. Shooter Talha is wanted by police for being involved in murder, attempt to murder, possessing illegal weapons, killing people for money cases. 

The DSP CIA Iqbal Town said there were four cases registered against Talha in Ichhra, one in Defence, and 11 in Samanabad Police Station.  

The second shooter Abdul Muqeet is a resident of Ali Park Ichhra, said the DSP.

Abdul Muqeet son of Javed is a proclaimed offender under Sections 302 and 324 in Police Station Ichhra, he added. 

Both the shooters were in contact with gangs in and out of the country.

He said that operations are being conducted against shooter gangs as per the vision of the IG Punjab and CCPO Lahore. 

More arrests were expected after further interrogation of the accused.  

Separately, Samanaabad police in an operation arrested a man for displaying arms on social media. 

Accused Masood had uploaded pictures on social media while displaying arms.    

The accused had uploaded a video posing as a groom with displaying weapons on TikTok. The police detained the TikToker in lockup. 

SP Muhammad Usman Tipu said that there is a ban on displaying weapons on social media. The police have recovered a pistol and bullets from the possession of the accused and registered a case against him, said SHO Naseem Khan.
