Seven children die in Mohmand after water tank collapses on them

Seven children were killed and another injured when a water tank collapsed on them in Mohmand District on Saturday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to reports, the children were playing under the tank when it collapsed on them in the Gambate area of ​​Ambar Tehsil of Mohmand district.

A medical team of Rescue 1122 was dispatched as soon as the control room received a call.

All the children were four to 12 years old.

Rescue 1122 medical team provided first aid to the injured child on the spot.

As it is uncertain what was the actual cause of the water tank collapse the use of poor-quality material in construction could not be ruled out for the tragic incident.

Four injured in bridge collapse 

Four labourers were injured as a bridge being built over a canal in Ihsanpur area of Rahim Yar Khan collapsed and fell into the canal on Saturday.  

Rescue officials shifted those injured in the incident to Sheikh Zayed Hospital in Rahim Yar Khan. 

Sources told 24News that the use of substandard material in the construction of the bridge was being suspected. 

The video footage of the incident shows labourers are working on a bridge that suddenly it (the bridge) comes crashing down, and so do the labourers, resulting in injuries to them.
