‘Out-of-turn’ promotions unveiled in FIA

In a startling disclosure, promotion lists in the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) were allegedly changed on the orders of seniors, reported24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

According to the documents obtained by 24News, those officers who were promoted by bypassing the rules neither had the required educational qualification nor had they completed the departmental course for the purpose.

It has emerged that the officers whose names were included in the first list were ignored in the second list prepared for promotions.

The documents have further revealed that most of those officers, whose reports were sought for their promotions, did not come up to the required standards.

Despite the fact that the FIA was contacted to elicit its view, the Authority refused to make any comment.
