Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested a human smuggler, involved in kidnapping of an innocent citizen in Libya, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

The Compost Circle Gujranwala took action on the directions of Director FIA Gujranwala Zone.

The accused Imran was arrested from Gujrat during an operation against human smugglers.

According to FIA spokesman, the accused received Rs700,000 for the recovery of the citizen.

A few months ago, the victim was abducted by human traffickers in Libya and the accused is a facilitator of a gang involved in human trafficking.

However, FIA started an investigation after the arrest of the suspect.

Moreover, raids are also being conducted to arrest other involved elements, said the FIA spokesperson.
