Election Commission announces local bodies by-election schedule for 22 districts of Sindh

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has announced the schedule for by-elections on vacant local body seats across 22 districts in Sindh. According to the public notice, displayed on October 7, candidates can submit their nomination papers from October 9 to 11.
The by-elections will take place in various districts, including Jacobabad, Kashmore, Shikarpur, Larkana, Qamber Shahdadkot, Ghotki, Sukkur, Khairpur, Nowshahrofiroz, Shaheed Benazirabad, Sanghar, Mirpurkhas, Umarkot, and Tharparkar. Elections will also be held in Matiari, Tando Ulhayar, Hyderabad, Tando Mohammad Khan, Badin, and Thatta.
In Karachi, by-elections are scheduled for municipal seats in Malir, Korangi, Karachi West, Karachi South, Karachi Central, and Kemari. These by-elections will fill vacant positions in various local bodies, strengthening municipal governance in the region.
