Suzuki has increased the price of its top-of-the-line Vitara SUV by one million rupees which means now the car is going to be sold at Rs.6.5million.

The price of Suzuki’s Jimny has also been increased by up to Rs0.5million and now the price of the car is Rs4.49million.

Suzuki’s Jimny and Vitara are not assembled in Pakistan. Rather they are being imported to Pakistan in order to sell in the markets.

Pak Suzuki has also raised the prices of its Cultus cars. There has been an increase of Rs.45000 in the Cultus AGS price which now means that the prices of the car have reached Rs2.03million.

The prices of the lower variants of Suzuki Cultus VXR and VXL have increased by Rs35,000. According to the new prices, the Cultus VXR now cost Rs.1.78m and Cultus VXL now cost Rs.1.9million correspondingly.

The car dealers have demanded an end to the ban on import of cars to break the monopoly of car manufacturing companies in the Pakistan and keep a check on their prices.

President Lahore Car Dealers Federation Shehzada Salim Khan said the government should immediately allow the import of the cars to stop the car manufacturing companies from increasing the prices at their will.

He also demanded of the government to make an Auto policy so that local car manufacturing companies could not increase the prices at their own.
