Court did not give me chance to clarify: Imran

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan soon after completing the hearing of the contempt of court case against him in Islamabad High Court (IHC) told the media that he was not given a chance to clear himself before the court.

According to the 24News HD TV channel, Imran Khan made an informal talk to the media after the hearing of the case in which the IHC larger bench decided to indict him in the contempt case on September 22.

Imran Khan while talking informally said he tried to clarify his position in the court as everything has a background and a context but he was not given a chance.

Former Prime Minister said he did not make political cases or arrests against his rivals or anyone else as revenge during his tenure.

Commenting on the current situation, he said the International Monetary Fund (IMF) report has explained the standing of the country right now so the situation will not be right without elections.

To a query about some backdoor contacts with Nawaz Sharif through an important personality as a middleman, Imran Khan gave denial and said nothing like that happened.
