CM Naqvi pays his respects at shrine of Imam Bukhari (RA)

Punjab Chief Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi on Tuesday paid his respects at the tomb of Hazrat Imam Bukhari (RA) at Samarkand in Uzbekistan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

He offered his prayers for the country’s progress and prosperity.

The administrator of the Imam Bukhari mausoleum complex, on occasion, recited verses of the holy Quran. 

CM Naqvi and members of his delegation went around different portions of the complex and witnessed its decoration. 

Speaking on the occasion, the chief minister said that religious scholars like Imam Bukhari (RA) are the common asset of both Pakistan and Uzbekistan.

He said he was pleased to see the art of construction of the complex. “The Uzbek art of construction has impressed me,” he added.

Provincial ministers SM Tanveer, Amir Mir, Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman, Gohar Ejaz, Fawad Mukhtar and Shahid Sattar were also present on the occasion.

CM visits hospitals in Bokhara

CM Naqvi also visited different hospitals in Bokhara and witnessed the treatment facilities being provided there.

He also went round different sections of hospitals, including reception, emergency, different medical wards, including that of cardiology and Dentistry, and intensive care units (ICU).

The chief minister also saw medical instruments and beds arranged for the patients.

He also met with doctors and the paramedical staff and praised their passion to serve the ailing humanity.

The CM also witnessed libraries and Seminar Rooms where doctors and the paramedical staff undergo training.  

He said he was greatly impressed by the kind of facilities that had been provided at these hospitals. “We plan to do the same for patients at hospitals in Punjab.

Chief minister visits tourist police station

CM Naqvi also visited a tourist police station in Bokhara, went around its different sections, and observed the arrangements made there to facilitate tourists.

He also witnessed a digital monitoring system introduced at the station.

He praised the modern way of ensuring the safety of tourists.

Apart from that, the chief minister witnessed the reception at the station.

Senior officials of the Uzbek Police briefed him and members of his delegation on the occasion.

The CM said that the system of tourist police stations introduced in Uzbekistan was in harmony with modern requirements, and there was a need to replicate the same at tourist resorts in Punjab so that tourists there could feel safe and secure.

Punjab Information Minister Amir Mir, Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman, secretary agriculture, commissioners of Multan, Bahawalpur and Dera Ghazi Khan divisions and other officials were also in attendance.
