With the slogan of "Haryana to be Khalistan", Sikhs have doubled their efforts across the world for their independence and a separate country from India as Modi's Hindutva is forcing the community as a minority to flee from the Indian territory.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the Sikh community has started a demand for the right of Khalistan all over the world, especially in Canada, Geneva, Italy, the UK, and other foreign countries outside India where they have a good presence in numbers.
The channel report said the Sikh community worldwide has intensified its influence on the Khalistan movement and on 19 November 2022, Khalistan flags were hoisted by the Victorian Sikh "Gurdwara Council" with slogans of "Haryana Banega Khalistan" (Haryana will become Khalistan) at a ceremony.
The report said the aim of this campaign was to encourage the community and strengthen the Khalistan movement's major activity scheduled on 29th January 2023 to spread the message to Sikhs all over the world.
This move of Sikhs comes ahead of Indian Prime Minister Modi's visit to Australia as part of the QUAD's meeting. (The Quadrilateral Security Dialogue (QSD), commonly known as the Quad, is a strategic security dialogue between Australia, India, Japan, and the United States that is maintained by talks between member countries.)
On the other hand, the Indian government of PM Modi has started its efforts to stop this campaign of the Sikh community and also made contacts with the Australian authorities in this regard.
The Indian government is sticking to its old baseless assumption of linking the Khalistan movement under the patronage of Pakistan but the fact is that Sikhs are subjected to brutal atrocities by the Indian government and are being forced to flee from India.
