CTD demands authority, resources to battle terrorist organizations

Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Thursday demanded the provision of the latest vehicles, authority and resources from Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Raza Naqvi to combat illegal terrorist organizations, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
CTD officials stated that they should be given the authority to act against terrorists according to the 2016 PECA Act .
They said that they need the cooperation from State Bank and Financial Management Unit for the cases of Terror Finance.
They demanded the provision of 10 bullet-proof double cabins, 36 IMSI catchers to identify mobile callers, six 4G GSM locators with vehicles and two vehicles with jammers was put forth.
The demands for facilities and power were presented in the Apex Committee meeting.
