A judicial magistrate in North Karachi has issued the bailable arrest warrants for Pakistani actress Sumbal Iqbal after she failed to provide evidence or witnesses in support of a complaint she filed in 2020.

A bond of Rs10,000 were also attached to the arrest warrants. The court ordered to arrest the actress and produce her before the court on February 15 and that all necessary measures must be taken to ensure this happens.

According to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), Ms Sumbal lodged a complaint against Nadeem Kiani and others. Following that a case was filed against him under Pakistan Electronic Crime Act (PECA).

According to Kiani’s attorney, he has already been granted bail in the case, but the actress has declined to appear in court to provide a witness statement against him.

The actress claimed that Nadeem Kiani and others had started a campaign against her on social media. Now, she must abide by the court’s directives and cooperate with the investigation, or else she risks having the arrest warrant issued by the court enforced.

Pertinent to note that a scandal of Sumbul Iqbal came to the light in 2020, and her audios were leaked. Actress Mantasha Kiani alleged that Sumbul Iqbal was in ‘live in’ relationship with her father Nadeem Kiani for the previous ten years. Along with these allegations, it's also believed that Sumbul has taken control of Kiani's assets, enabling her and her sister to supposedly live luxurious lives.

However, Sumbul didn’t speak a word on this matter.
