JUI-F unveils list of candidates for K-P in upcoming elections

With general elections set to take place within a month, the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) has unveiled its list of candidates for the upcoming elections for national and provincial assemblies’ seats of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (K-P).
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, the announcement included prominent figures and notable political heirs within the party's ranks.
The JUI-F leadership declared that Maulana Fazlur Rehman himself will contest from Dera Ismail Khan.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s two sons Maulana Asad Mahmood and Maulana Asjad Mahmood will also participate in the electoral race from Tank, NA-43, and Lakki Marwat, NA-41 respectively.
Former K-P Deputy Speaker Zahir Khan Durani will be contesting from NA-39, Bannu, while Shah Abdul Aziz from Kirk, Maulana Obaidullah from Hangu, and Gohar Bangash will be contesting from Kohat National Assembly constituency.
Other notable names in the JUI-F's lineup included Pervez Khattak from Nowshera Maulana Gohar Shah and Mufti Gohar Ali from Charsadda will be candidates.
Azam Khan, Qari Niaz Ali, and Kaleem Ullah will be candidates from Mardan.
Noor Alam Khan, Irfan Ullah Shah, Nasir Khan, Saeed Jan, and Hussain Ahmed have been allotted tickets for contesting national assembly seats of Peshawar.
Additionally, Maulana Fazal Ali and Abdul Rahim are JUI-F candidates from Swabi. Mohammad Ayub from Haripur, Adnan, and Ahmed Naseer from Abbottabad will be JUI candidates.
Kifayat Ullah and Sardar Waqar Ul Mulk will be candidates of JUI from Mansehra.
Tickets have also been issued to Qari Yusuf to contest from Battagram, Wali Ur Rehman from Buner, and Mufti Kifayat Ullah from Malakand.
JUI-F also awarded its tickets to Muhammad Sher and Sirajuddin from Lower Dir and Muhammad Nabi Shah from Upper Dir.
From Swat, tickets have been issued to Abdul Ghafoor, Qaiser Khan, and Rahimullah for contesting national assembly seats.
Moreover, JUI has not yet decided on tickets for the seats of Kohistan, Chitral, and Shangla.
The Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl also made significant strides in shaping its line-up for the upcoming Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) assembly elections.
In Bannu, Akram Khan Durrani, a stalwart in KP politics, will be the party's candidate for two seats.
Additionally, Adnan Khan and Sher Azam Wazir have also secured JUI-F tickets from Bannu.
The political landscape in Kirk will witness the participation of heavyweight contenders as Mian Nisar and Imad Azam have been nominated by the JUI-F for the electoral battle.
Mansehra and Abbottabad, reflecting the party's commitment to women's representation, will see female candidates stepping into the general seats.
Saima Bibi, nominated from PK-36 Mansehra, Basirat Arbab Abbasi from PK-43 Abbottabad, and Aisha Hameed Ullah from PK-44 are the JUI-F's choices for these constituencies.
Ruqiya Bibi has been issued a ticket for PK-48 Haripur.
Noor-Ul-Islam and Ghafoor Jadoon are nominated JUI-F candidates for Sawai.
Tickets were also issued to Hafiz Akhtar Ali, Adnam Khan Obaidullah from Mardan.
Arshad Abdullah, Elahi Jan, and Muhammad Ahmed will be contenders for JUI from Charsadda provincial seats.
Maulana Ata-ul-Haq Darwish was nominated as a candidate from PK-79. PK 80 ticket issued to Maulana Amanullah Haqqani.
Arbab Farooq, Siddique Pracha, and Umar Khan will also be JUI candidates from Peshawar.
JUI-F ticket issued to brother and nephew of former home minister Pervez Khattak to contest forthcoming general elections from Nowshera.
Liaqat Khan will be a candidate from PK-87, Ahad Khattak from PK- 88.
Munawar Khan from Lucky Marwat and Mehmood Ahmed will be seeking votes from Tank.
Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman is allocated a Provincial Assembly ticket to contest the elections from Chitral.
Likewise, Bakht Zada, Syed Qamar, Sanaullah, and Hujjatullah are nominated candidate for Sawat.
Tickets were also issued to Shahi Nawab, Haji Mumtaz Hafeezur Rehman and Amjad Ali
Gul Noor Shah, Azizur Rahman, Ihsanullah, and JUI candidates have been nominated from Upper Dir.
Tickets issued to Farid Ullah, Imran Khan, and Mohammad Nabi Shah from Dir Lower.
