A Pakistan Army soldier was martyred in an exchange of fire with terrorists in North Waziristan District, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.
A press release issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Monday said our troops effectively engaged terrorists' location and apprehended one terrorist in injured condition. However, during the intense exchange of fire, Havildar Muhammad Zahir (age: 41 years, resident of District Mardan), having fought gallantly, embraced Shahadat.
Sanitization operations are being carried out to eliminate any terrorists found in the area.
Security Forces of Pakistan are determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve, it adds.
