Ex-FIA sleuth who probed cases against Sharifs dies in Lahore

Former director FIA Dr Rizwan who conducted an inquiry into a money laundering case against Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and probed several other important cases died after suffering a heart attack in Lahore on Monday, reported 24NewsHD T channel.
Reportedly, Dr Rizwan suffered cardiac arrest at home and he was immediately shifted to the Services Hospital where he could not survive and breathed his last.
Dr Rizwan had been investigating several corruption cases against the Sharif brothers. He conducted an inquiry into a money laundering case in Kot Lakhpat Jail. He also held an inquiry into fake accounts.
He also probed the murder of Naqeebullah and faced pressure. Later, he was detached from this inquiry.
After the installation of the new government, Dr Rizwan was removed from his post.
Former information minister Fawad Chaudhry tweeted today: “Brave Director FIA Dr Rizwan who filed TT case against Shehbaz Sharif died today. May God bless him. A very brave and diligent person has passed away.”
