Bollywood diva Alia Bhatt has once again become entangled in a scandal, this time due to her deepfake video circulating across social media platforms.
Deepfake technology that uses artificial intelligence (AI) targeted Alia Bhatt not for the first time.
A video of the ‘Student of the Year’ actress surfaced on Instagram shared by a user named Unfixface It shows Alia donning a pink saree with a matching blouse and lying on the floor with the same pink background.
In the video, Alia was seen grooving to the old Bollywood song ‘Shukran Allah’ wearing bangles and ‘Paranda’ (hair accessories) in her braid.

The video quickly garnered the attention of sharp netizens as they noticed something amiss in her facial expressions.
Later, it was revealed that it was a deepfake video with Alia Bhatt's face placed over the footage of an Indian actress Wamika Gabi.
