Pak army continues relief efforts in affected districts in four provinces

Pakistan army on Sunday continued its relief efforts in the worst affected districts of Sindh, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab on Sunday.
The worst affected districts in Sindh are Qambar Shahdad Kot, Jacobabad, Larkana, Khairpur, Dadu, Noshero Feroz, Thatta and Badin. The affected Balochistan districts are Quetta, Naseerabad, Jafarabad, Jhalmagsi, Bolan, Sohbatpur and Lesbela while KP and Punjab districts are included Dir, Swat, Charsadda, Kohistan, Tank and DI Khan and in Punjab include DG Khan and Rajanpur.
Aviation Efforts
So far 627 Army Aviation helicopters sorties have been flown to various areas for evacuation of stranded people. Moreover, up till now, 4659 stranded Individuals have been evacuated through helicopter sorties
So far 147 Relief Camps and 125 Relief Collection points in Sindh, South Punjab & Balochistan have been established across the country for flood affectees.
As many as 10180.5 Tons of food items along with 1811.8 Tons of sustenance items and 15582251 medicine items have been collected so far. However, 10154.8 Tons of food 1803.3 Tons of sustenance items and 15539251 medicine items have been distributed till now.
More than 300 medical camps established so far in which more than 328377 patients have been treated all across the country and provided 3-5 days’ free medicine.
Pakistan Navy Rescue Efforts
Pakistan Navy (PN) established 4 Flood Relief centres and 18 Central Collection Points all across the country. These collection centres have distributed 2,118 Tons of ration, 7,809 tents & 745,788-litre mineral water in various districts. In addition, 15 tent cities have also been established at Qambar Shehdad Kot, Dadu, Bhan Syedabad, Sukkar, Sanghar and Sujawal.
Moreover, PN’s 23 Emergency Response teams (ERTs) deployed all over Pakistan have rescued 15579 stranded personnel. These ERTs are equipped with 54 motorized boats and 2 Hovercraft. PN has also deployed 2 helicopters in interior Sindh.
Up till now, in 71 sorties, these helicopters rescued 481 stranded people and distributed 5,333 packets of ration. PN’s 8 Diving Teams have also carried out 28 Diving Operations in affected areas across Pakistan. PN has also established 114 Medical Camps in which 127,977 patients have been treated to date.
Pakistan Air Force Relief Efforts
Pakistan Air Force has provided 6,705 Tents, 774,756 Food packages, 4293.27 Tons of ration, and 294,323 litres of fresh water, for the flood affectees. Moreover, PAF has established 46 Medical Camps where 78,807 patients have been treated so far. 24 Tent cities accommodating 19,807 people, 54 flood relief centres and 03 central Aviation Hubs all across the country have also been established. PAF also carried out 268 sorties and evacuated 1,521 people from the flood-affected areas.
