Mashal Yousafzai has been reappointed to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) cabinet as the Special Assistant to Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, 24NewsHD TV Channel reported on Tuesday.
Before this, Mashal Yousafzai served as an adviser on social welfare but was removed from her position earlier this month.
It is notable that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government removed Mashal Yousafzai from her position as Advisor on Social Welfare and sent a summary for denotification to Governor Faisal Karim Kundi on October 2, 2024.
As per the channel report, the Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur-led KP government also decided to transfer the Ministry of Population Welfare from Mashal Yousafzai to Qasim Ali Shah.
The sources said the decision to remove Mashal Yousafzai was made on the recommendation of the senior leadership, who were reportedly dissatisfied with her performance.
The sources said the senior leadership had noted that Mashal spent more time in Islamabad than in Peshawar, raising concerns about her commitment to the role.
