KP CM Gandapur says so-called PTI loyalists now lie exposed

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister (CM) and PTI leader Ali Amin Gandapur said on Tuesday that the passage of the 26^th constitutional amendments by the parliament had removed masks from the faces of those PTI leaders who pretended to be loyal to the party and ideological, but in fact they were not, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

He vowed that action would be taken against the party MNAs and senators who had voted for the amendments.

The chief minister described the amendments as an attack on the independence of the judiciary by the government, which did not enjoy the mandate of the people. “These were passed only to benefit the country’s elite,” he added.

He vowed that the PTI after coming to power would repeal these changes made to the constitution.  

Gandapur said the reason why the country was going downhill was because of such legislation and flawed government policies.

PHC grants protective bail to Gandapur

Also on Tuesday, the Peshawar High Court (PHC), while granting a protective bail to the KP CM, barred the police from arresting him in any case until November 14.

Justice SM Atiq Shah and Justice Sahibzada Asadullah Khan heard the chief minister’s bail plea.

Counsel for the petitioner told the court that cases had been registered against his client in Islamabad and Punjab. “Whenever we approach a court for relief, new cases are filed,” he added.

The court ordered the respondents to submit details of the cases filed against Gandapur in two weeks.
