Afghan Woman reconnects with family, thanks to "Lahore Traffic Police"

In a heartwarming turn of events, the unwavering efforts of the Lahore Traffic Police have yielded a reunion as Mursal, a 30-year-old Afghan woman residing at Edhi Homes in Lahore, has finally found her long-lost family, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to details, Mursal's story began a year and a half ago when she was brought to Lahore from Afghanistan by an woman. This woman had lured her with the promise of a job opportunity, but the situation took an unexpected turn when Mursal found herself abandoned in the Sherakot area of Lahore. Alone and far from home, her plight came to the attention of Sherakot Police, who promptly act to ensure her safety.
Subsequently, Mursal was relocated to Edhi Home Township in Lahore.

Meanwhile, Lahore Traffic Police took up the challenge of reuniting her with her family.
A significant hurdle in this search for Mursal's family was the language barrier, as her primary language was Persian (Farsi), which posed a challenge for effective communication. To bridge this gap, an interpreter was enlisted, enabling authorities to conduct inquiries about her relatives and her area of residence back in Afghanistan.
Through diligent and compassionate efforts, the Lahore Traffic Police, in collaboration with the Afghan Embassy in Islamabad, succeeded in contacting Mursal's relatives. Plans have been set in motion to facilitate her journey back to Kotak, a suburban area in the capital city of Kabul, with the invaluable assistance of the Afghan Embassy.
