Federal Minister for Information, Broadcasting, National Heritage and Culture Attaullah Tarar said on Sunday that at one point, stones were pelted at police by rowdy participants of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf public rally.
Using his X account, the minister said that was the reason that the PML-N leadership was of the view that the PTI did not believe in peaceful protest or assembly. He stated that such incident occurred at only one place and now peace had been restored.
Meanwhile, Punjab Senior Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb on Sunday warned against challenging the writ of the state.
Expressing her thoughts following the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had violated the NOC in line with the power show in Sangjani. "It does not matter that the PTI stages a rally or causes uproar, the party [PTI] will have to bear the brunt."
She took a dig at the PTI, saying, "It has been said that the new law has been established to protect the thieves. It is the criminal involved behind the May 9 vandalism who filed the first application under the new law." "Those who hurl allegations at others themselves want to escape by getting the NRO," she said.
Aurangzeb maintained: "Every now and then, the party [PTI] looks to get NRO but has not held itself accountable."
