Federal Minister for Information Attaullah Tarar issued a stern warning to protesters, accusing them of spreading chaos across the country and challenging the state’s patience.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, talking to the media on Tuesday, he criticised the ongoing protests, stating, “The state is exercising restraint and defending itself, but if our patience runs out, the consequences will be dire.”
Tarar alleged that the protesters aim to destabilise the nation and will not be allowed to succeed in their agenda of bloodshed. He added, “This is a conspiracy by enemies to derail Pakistan, and it will not succeed.”
In a pointed remark, Tarar questioned the absence of former first lady Bushra Bibi, saying, “Why is Bushra Bibi hiding? She should come to the frontline.”
He also criticised the use of the poor and Afghan nationals as shields in protests, accusing them of engaging in stone-pelting and shelling against law enforcement.
The minister lamented the deaths of Rangers personnel during the unrest, asking, “Whose hands are stained with the blood of our martyred Rangers?”
He claimed that the protests have not gained traction in Punjab, Sindh, or Balochistan, indicating a lack of public support.
Tarar reiterated that the government will not allow any group to create nationwide instability and appealed for calm, urging protesters to abandon their destructive path.
