The Supreme Court (SC) has released a written decision in a case related to PTI's long march, 24NewsHD TV channel reported Wednesday.
Justice Yahya Afridi said in a dissident note that the court has the material to take action against Imran Khan.
“In my opinion, Imran Khan disobeyed the court order, he said and requested reports from the chief commissioner, home secretary, ISI DG and IB DG within a week
The 14-page judgment was written by Chief Justice, stating free movement is not hindered.
All the highways were open after the end of the long march, it added.
According to the verdict, the PTI hurt the confidence of the Supreme Court.
The May 25 order of the Supreme Court was floated and government property was badly damaged, however, it hoped political parties will avoid confrontation.
The court sought a reply from IG Police, Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Secretary Home Ministry, DG IB, and DG ISI within a week
The court questioned when Imran Khan directed the party workers to go to D-Chowk and when did the PTI workers overcome the obstacles?
It continued: Was anyone watching the crowd entering the D-Chowk red zone?
“Has the assurance given by the government been violated? Did the police take action against the vandals?
The Supreme Court said that it should be stated how many protesters entered Red Rose
How many civilians were killed, how many were injured and how many were taken to the hospital, all the evidence will be examined to decide whether the court order was violated or not.”
The decision of the Supreme Court said that it remains to be seen whether security arrangements have been relaxed by the executive authorities and reports on judicial questions should be submitted to the chamber.
The Supreme Court decision said that the constitution gives the right to freedom of expression and peaceful protest but the protest should be subject to the permission of the state. Measures are not allowed, we will see after reports whether action is taken against those who disobeyed the order or not.
“The video of Imran Khan's statement was played in the Supreme Court. Imran Khan asked his workers to reach D-Chowk. Imran Khan ignored the orders of the Supreme Court on May 25. The case was disposed of with an order to issue the guideline later.
