The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has blocked access to five dating and live-streaming applications.

The authority blocked Tagged, Skout, Grinder and SayHi apps keeping in view the negative effects of immoral/indecent content streaming through them.

The PTA issued notices to the app admins for removing dating services and to moderate live streaming content but to no avail.

The authority can, however, reconsider blocking of the applications provided the management gives assurance of abiding by the local laws.
