FIA Immigration conducted a significant operation at Karachi Airport, resulting in the arrest of a suspect identified as Akhtar Ali from Mingora, Swat, for possessing fake travel documents.

According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, the suspect, a government employee from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, was attempting to travel to Saudi Arabia on an Umrah visa via flight QR605.

During the security check, the suspect's behaviour raised suspicions, leading to a thorough search of his luggage, which revealed a fake passport and a counterfeit Canadian PR card.

Initial investigations revealed that the fake documents were provided by an agent named Habib, who was paid Rs60,000 by the suspect for the forged documents.

The suspect intended to use these fake documents, which included tampered images of his brother's documents, to travel from Saudi Arabia to Canada.

Following the arrest, the suspect was handed over to the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle in Karachi for further legal action.
