The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has issued a safety alert for the cabin crew for the holy month of Ramazan.

As per the new safety alert, the PIA has stopped the flight captain and the first officer from fasting in Ramazan. The PIA alert says that fasting cabin crew will not be allowed to fly on any flight. Cabinet crew members who want to fast will have to inform the PIA management in advance. A notification in this regard has been issued by Captain Arshad Khan, chief of flight operations.

The notification says that fasting could affect the working and health of the cabinet crew. The decision is meant to save the cabin crew from health related issues. The notification says that benefits of fasting cannot be denied but flying during fasting could put the life of the crew and passengers at risk.
