The Punjab School Education Department has decided to change school timings across the Punjab after the end of summer vacation, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.  

As per details, all schools in Punjab province will commence from 8:00 am to 1.30 pm timings from Monday to Thursday. On Fridays, however, the school timings will be from 8 am to 12 pm.

Notably, students will have Saturdays off, providing them with a two-day weekend. However, teaching staff will be required to attend school on Saturdays from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.

In schools operating under a double-shift system, the first shift will run from 8:00 am to 12:30 pm. The second shift will then begin at 1:00 pm and conclude at 5:30 pm.

On Fridays, the second shift will be adjusted slightly, starting at 2:30 pm and ending at 5:30 pm.

Additionally, teachers will remain on campus until 3:00 pm each day during the week to fulfill their responsibilities and prepare for upcoming lessons.
