No one can hinder enforcement of court decisions: Justice Mansoor

Supreme Court judge Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah has said that no one has the authority to hamper the implementation of court decisions, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Addressing a moot titled ‘Overcoming the Challenges in Implementation of Courts Decisions’ in Islamabad, the top court judge said: “No one has the option to say that the decision of the Supreme Court will not be implemented.”

He said that it was the requirement of the constitution that the decision of the court should be implemented in its letter and spirit.

Justice Mansoor said “if the decision of the apex court is not followed, then bring another system”.

Justice Mansoor made it clear that he will get implemented the decisions according to his powers.

He pledged that SC decision regarding the rights of minorities will be implemented.

Justice Mansoor said it was a pity that the Supreme Court's 2014 decision could not be implemented. In 2014, the Supreme Court gave a decision regarding the fundamental rights of minorities.

The decision of the Supreme Court cannot be rejected as non implementation of apex court decision is tantamount to challenging the structure of the Constitution, Justice Mansoor Ali Shah.
