Army chief witnesses Victory Shield drill

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa has visited Chanoki near Chawinda in Sialkot, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Friday.
The army chief witnessed a drill titled ‘Victory Shield’ of Gujranwala Corps troops. He was briefed about objectives, planning parameters and conduct modalities of the exercise.
The army chief expressed satisfaction at the training standards and professional competence of the troops.

Addressing the participating troops, Gen Qamar laid stress on realistic and strenuous training in the field, the ISPR said, adding that such exercises help bolster troops’ confidence, enhance cohesiveness/synergy and optimise their combat potential.
Earlier on arrival, Gen Qamar was received by Lt-Gen Muhammad Aamer, Commander Gujranwala Corps.
