PCB chief greets team for Multan victory, hopes for series win

The Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi, congratulated the national cricket team for their victory in the Multan Test and expressed hope that they will perform well in the final match to win the series against England.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, the PCB chairman praised the cricket team, stating that the success in a home Test after a long time was due to excellent teamwork.
He highlighted the standout performances of Sajid Khan and Nauman Ali, whose brilliant bowling played a key role in the victory against the English team.
The PCB chairman also commended Pakistani batsman Kamran Ghulam for showcasing his talent by scoring a century in his debut match.
Mohsin Naqvi further said the team’s hard work, passion, and professional approach led to the win and added that the new players have justified their selection.
PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi also expressed optimism that the national cricket team will continue their strong performance in the final Test and clinch the series at home ground.
Today, Pakistan secured their first home Test victory since February 2021, defeating England by 152 runs in Multan to level the series 1-1.
This win came after Pakistan suffered a heavy defeat by an innings in the first Test, also held in Multan.
Spinner Nauman Ali was the standout performer, claiming an impressive 8-46, while Sajid Khan contributed with 2-93 as the duo bowled out England for 144 in their second innings.
England had been chasing a challenging target of 297. The decisive third and final Test will take place in Rawalpindi, starting on October 24.
