Installation of swings in school funfairs banned

The government has decided to put a ban on the installation of swings without permission on the occasion of the annual funfair of schools, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
The school managements have been directed to approach the Education Authority one month before to the fun fairs date to get a regular approval. Moreover, it will also be mandatory for schools to obtain a fitness certificate for installing swings in the events.
The District Education Authority Lahore will grant the approval for swing installation whereas Education Authority, following the regular inspection of the swings, will issue fitness certificate to the schools.
According to the Education Authority, a strict action will be taken against the schools that install swings at events without seeking approval, and that one of the top priorities of Education Department is the safety of children along with education.
