Fire destroys dozen shops at Rawalpindi’s Raja Bazaar

A fire broke out in Mughal Sarai Market in Rawalpindi’s famous Raja Bazaar on Saturday morning destroying a dozen shops, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Rescue teams were immediately rushed to the spot for operation to extinguish the blaze. They fire-fighters were able to put off the fire after an hour-long operation.

According to preliminary estimate, at least 12 shops were gutted in the fire which started due to a short-circuit.

Rescue firefighters backed by seven fire tenders and special vehicles took part in the operation.
