Nawaz in hunt for independents, allies

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Supremo Nawaz Sharif has called upon independent candidates and others to join hands with his party to get the country rid of the crisis.
“The PML-N has emerged as the largest party in the elections,” Nawaz said in his address to party workers at Model Town in Lahore on Friday.
He added: “It becomes our duty to devise a comprehensive strategy to get out of the vortex. We respect the mandate of all political parties. We invite everyone to support us for Pakistan."
He asked his brother Shehbaz Sharif to approach former president Asif Ali Zardari, JUI chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman and MQM leadership.
“This is not just Pakistan of PML-N. Pakistan belongs to everyone. Everyone has a responsibility," he added.
The three-time prime minister said: “We have brought Pakistan out of difficulties in the past. We strengthened Pakistan's economic, defence and social systems.
He stressed: “The nation knows about the track record of PML-N. The state of the nation will change. We will improve relations with the world. “We must come up to the public the expectation."
He extended congratulations to workers on victory in the election.
