Family calls for prayers as Firdous Jamal’s cancer treatment starts

The family of legend Firdous Jamal has made an appeal for prayers as the noted actor's radiation treatment has begun at Inmol, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Tuesday 

Chemotherapy will be done after five-day radiation at the same facility. Senior actor Firdous Jamal is battling cancer.

Firdous was to be treated at Shaukat Khanum Cancer but the Inmol hospital was chosen on the instructions of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

PM Shehbaz phoned Firdous Jamal and vowed to provide him with all-out support. 

The prime minister said the nation is praying for his speedy recovery.  Firdous Jamal expressed gratitude to PM Shehbaz Sharif for the support.

The legendary artist also got Rs10 million in aid.

Last month, his son revealed that the ace artist Firdous Jamal was diagnosed with cancer. Hamza Firdous took to Instagram and made the heartbreaking revelation.

Firdous Jamal is a versatile artist and proved his mettle in more than 300 TV plays, 150 stage plays, 200 radio plays and 50 films.
