A Pakistan Army captain was martyred and two terrorists were killed during a fire exchange in North Waziristan district said a statement issued by Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Tuesday.


During the fierce engagement, own troops effectively engaged the terrorists’ location, as result of which two terrorists were killed.


However, during the intense exchange of fire, leading his troops from the front, Captain Muhammad Osama bin Arshad, 24, having fought gallantly, made the ultimate sacrifice and embraced martyrdom.


Sanitization operation is being carried out to eliminate any terrorists found in the area, the military’s media wing said.


“Security forces of Pakistan are determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism from the country and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve,” read the statement.


Federal Interior Minister pays homage to martyred captain


Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi paid tribute to the sacrifice of Captain Muhammad Osama bin Arshad, who was martyred while bravely fighting terrorists in North Waziristan.


He said martyred Captain Osmama sacrificed his life for his country while fighting bravely against the terrorists and thwarting their nefarious designs. 


Naqvi said brave sons like Shaheed Captain Osama are the pride of Pakistan and the nation will always remember the great sacrifice of its brave son.


The federal interior minister said the officers and soldiers of the security forces have cultivated peace with their precious blood.


He also expressed heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the family of martyred Captain Muhammad Osama.
