Tehreek-e-Labbaik naib ameer acquitted in hate speech case

An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Lahore on Friday acquitted Naib Ameer of Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) Pir Syed Zaheerul Hassan Shah in hate speech case for want of evidence, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) had registered a case against him in 2021.
Pronouncing the verdict, ATC Judge Ijaz Ahmad Buttar said the prosecution had failed to prove the charges framed against him.
