Celebrated Pakistani actress and host Fiza Ali responded to the people who criticized her for exploiting people’s traumas on her show ‘Morning with Fiza’.

In a recent episode of the show, Fiza came across a very sad case of two young girls who are living like boys because their father wanted sons and divorced his wife after which the mother took her life by suicide.

Fiza asked the girls about their trauma and showed on television live to aware people of social issues happening in our society and how to handle such issues but sadly the social media users took it negatively and blamed Fiza for exploiting people on her show.

Fiza Ali's Show Faces Backlash Over Exploiting Trauma

To overcome the backlash, Fiza shared a video on her YouTube channel in which she addressed the issue.

"If I want to rate my show first of all I would arrange marriages on the show, I would invite celebrities on my show and talk about the products they use for their skin and I would promote the brands but that’s not me, and not my type of thing. When I started this show my whole team planned to have episodes based on social issues increasing in our society day by day. I don’t have any concern with the rating I just do what I think is right and then I go back to my home", she said.

Talking about the seriousness of the issue, Fiza said "Those two girls Wajiha and Hoorain saw their mother dying in front of them and they took a lot of depression because their father did not want to take responsibility so their aunt took them and raising them like boys.

"My point of inviting them on the show is not to have a rating but to find a solution to such issues because in this case, these girls can do the same in their future as their mother did–‘suicide’.

Concluding her message, the host said, "We have to tell the people that this is wrong and we have to find solutions to these problems, we have to motivate the girls to do something in life, stand on their own, forget such traumas in life and move on."
